Unique & lovely boxed set of chintz floral coasters. Marked on the base hand painted & Made in occupied Japan which dates them from 1945-52. I believe these are a kind a paper mch technique that has been lacquered to make them water proof. Lovely design & colors. in good vintage condition overall, there were probably originally 8 but this set includes just 7.
