Antique 18th Century Aubusson tapestry cushion - pillow - Quiver of Arrows This pillow is made from a panel of Aubusson tapestry border dating from the early 1700s. Hand woven in wools & silks. The tapestry has retained its vibrant colour well & depicts a quiver of arrows with leaves & flowers . There are old repairs & slits created in the weaving process, the whole in good condition. The tapestry has been backed with a woven fusible interfacing for stability before being applied to vintage pure linen fabric - also used for the back. Antique narrow gold metallic flat trim (19th century) has been applied to the horizontal sides. Later tassel trim to vertical sides. There is a new feather cushion pad to the interior Size: 24 ins (60.9cm) by 12 ins (30.5cm) - measured seam to seam. Each tapestry pillow is unique - a true 'one-off'.
