Handcrafted & made from 2 inch thick burry Horse Chestnut featuring tapered mid-century beech wood legs, this large coffee table is both a rarity & beautiful centre piece for any living space. I have attempted to retain as much of the live edge character as is possible with this piece as I see a tremendous beauty in doing so. This provides a stunning contrast surrounding the circumference of the table as it depicts the weathered/elemental exterior encasing the charming light, warm tones of the surfaced top. The table has been finished with oil for a satin, natural feel & aesthetic. The wood itself is sourced from a local sawmill here in Scotland where it has been appropriately air & kiln dried, ready for domestic use. The legs are attached via the 10-degree metal plates on the underside making them height adjustable by roughly 1.5cm.
