Description
Photo is a representation of what will be sent. This is a hand sculpted original Starfish Cluster by glass artist John Gibbons. This piece measures about 14 inches tall & 10 inches wide. The base is a small clear glass bowl & the stars are fused to it while it is hot. This sculpture takes John & four skilled assistants working in unison to create. Each star is created by putting a thin layer of colored glass on the back of a thick layer of clear. This technique causes the star to look wet & magnified from the clear glass. John Started this series about 10 years ago while living in San Diego. He found inspiration for his design from working with Cheque Republic glass artist & Italian Glass Sculpture Pino Signoretto.
