Description
A charming set of small teapot (around 250ml volume) with matching sugar bowl & creamer / milk jug, in grey stoneware with a blue band & transfer decoration in black of leaves & flowers. The teapot has 'Gladys' just above the spout, so probably a personalised gift from the early 1900's. Teapot measures around 11.5cm tall to the finial on the handle & 13cm spout to outer edge of handle, creamer 6.5cm tall & sugar bowl 5.8cm tall & 7.8cm across at the widest point. There's a small chip to the edge of the underside of the teapot lid ( scarcely visible when in place - please see pics) & some variations from when it was made, but nothing serious & generally in good antique order.
