Description
This ceramic bowl is ideal for soup, cereal, ice cream or salads. Use them too to serve appetizers such as dips, salsa, nuts or pretzels. They can also make useful trinket bowls to place around the house: a handy place for rings, keys & such. The bowl is 2.75 inches tall & 6 inches in diameter. I made this bowl on the potter's wheel in my Virginia studio. After it was dry enough to handle, I trimmed it to refine the shape & create the foot. After the first firing I dipped it in a blue-green glaze & drizzled a black glaze on top for interest. I then fired it a second time. Note that the glaze ranges from light blue to deep green depending on the thickness of the glaze as it melted & flowed during firing. Thank you for your interest in my work.
