Quirky unique small cabinet that can either be free standing, or wall hung. It's a rescue item that's been given a little bit of love. What was an old desk drawer, has now been converted into a display case or spice rack, that's full of character & vintage charm. It's also the perfect size for a small bookcase, in a setting where space may be limited. The drawer originally came from an Victorian / Edwardian desk. It's made of solid wood, with dovetail joints. The outside has been lightly sanded & painted with a grey blue border , before being waxed. A pair of shelves have been added to the inside (they are removable, although the shelf supports are fixed to the sides). The back panel has been painted in apricot. The original heavy brass cup handle has been retained at the top, whilst a pair of brass plates have been added to the back, to enable the cabinet to be wall mounted. Dimensions are height 68cm x width 30cm x depth 19cm inner dimensions: height 64cm x width 27.5 cm x depth 16cm shelf height: unit 1 - top 22cm / middle 18cm / bottom 22cm unit 2 - top 21cm / middle 21cm / bottom 21cm Please bear in mind that this is a vintage item, that is well over 80 years old. It was used as an everyday item, & will display a certain amount of wear & age / usage related marks. Whilst it may be structurally sound, the condition is far from pristine.
