Description
Laurentian - St. Jerome, Quebec. Also known as LP & Laurentian Art Pottery & Poterie Laurentienne. These pieces are variously marked, sometimes with LP (looks like a stylized coffee mug in a circle), other times with the LP mark & Laurentian, sometimes Quebec, sometimes Canada, usually with a mold-mark item number. A later mark is a three trees logo. Laurentian Pottery founded in 1939 by a Mr. Kominick. Unconfirmed, but I believe this pottery closed sometime c. 2005. IT IS MARKED TUNDRA CANADA with a number different shades of beige & an earth tone band with a honey color drip-the top part of this pottery is glazed & smooth & the bottom part has that volcanic/fat lava quality with bumps & raised drips VERY RETRO LOOKING Creamer & sugar bowl each stand 2 3/4 inches tall Top opening diameter of the sugar bowl 2 3/8 inches Jug measures 4 1/4 inches across from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle Both have a base diameter of 2 inches Clearance Center Laurentian Pottery Tundra Pattern Creamer & Open Sugar
