A truly beautiful chair, full of character & history. From the late 19th century. Well made in solid elm, bobbin turned back side spindles & legs. Thick single piece seat. It's had a long life & is now looking for a gentle new home. A little twisted & lopsided so would really only be suitable for display or as an unusual stand or bedside. Good construction in thick elm. It was once painted black bit so much use & wear now shows the beautiful grain of the wood, with a lovely rubbed patina. The black paint is still there on the back & legs. Nicks , knocks & paint splashes. Please do see all the photos, it deserves a good look.
