A beautiful original ceramic planter, hand thrown & decorated in Dartmoor, Devon. The pot is thrown on my wheel & then reshaped before it becomes to dry. It is painted with blue slip, I then draw into the vase removing clay to create the floral design. The saucer the pot sits in is hand built. Hand thrown from stoneware & decorated with coloured slip (coloured clays painted onto the vase), with finishing touches added by scratching into the surface. After several days drying out the vase has its first firing, then it is finished with a clear glaze & returned to the kiln for the final time. Glazed inside & out. Measurements (all measurements are approximate) Height including saucer 9.5cm Depth widest point 16 cm Width planter 26cm Saucer 28cm Please note, as each item I make is hand thrown & decorated yours may differ slightly to the image shown. As it is a handmade item there maybe some small marks etc, which add to the overall character of the piece. The plant is not included.
