This is a beautiful ceramic base with realistic/anatomical drawings of colchicum/meadow saffron as well as butterflies & ladybirds. The designs are very simple & elegant on the white ceramic body of the vase with an attractive glaze & the maker's mark to the base for Portmerion & The Botanic Gardens. Dated 1972.
