This little Irish swan, made by Belleek in the 1950s, can be used as a creamer, trinket dish or simply to display on a shelf. It is in excellent, unused condition. It's a wonderful keepsake of fine Irish craftsmanship & would make a wonderful gift for any occasion. 3-1/4 high 4-1/2 long Belleek china is the oldest porcelain manufacturer in Ireland. Beginning in 1857, in the village of Belleek in County Fermanagh, estate owner John Caldwell Bloomfield reacted to a devastating famine by starting an earthenware manufacturing company as a way to employ the surrounding residents during one of Ireland's darkest times. Since then, it has grown to become one of the most famous potteries in the world. The original factory is still located in Belleek & continues today with a reputation as the finest Parian china in the world.
