DESCRIPTION: Our durable solid hardwood 4 wide cylinder pillar candle holders are handcrafted from Pennsylvania hardwoods & turned to highlight the natural characteristics of the wood grain. Sold as a set of three, these staggered height holders (4x4, 4x6, 4x8) hold standard 3 diameter wax or LED pillar candles (removable spike for LED candles, 3 x 6 candle used in images not included). Off cuts of cherry, walnut, oak, ash, & maple slices are laminated in a random pattern & thickness so that no set of holders will be identical. Hardwood slices are oriented with end grain & may contain small knots & voids which add to the rustic character of these holders. Lastly, holders are lathe turned & finished in a flat urethane providing a durable finish. OUR PROCESS: At Heirloom Workshop we believe our approach to making our products offers our customers a special opportunity to own a high quality handmade product unlike any other or available in most retail stores. We do not use low quality woods & stains to replicate actual hardwood produced by nature. All of our products are made from the actual hardwood stated in the description. We take pride in a complete design & fabrication process of our products for sale, performing all activities in-house transforming responsibly felled local Pennsylvania trees into finish products. Most logs obtained are from storm damage fallen trees & seasoned for a number of years prior to being milled by our equipment. Once milled our lumber is air dried for at least a year & then kiln dried to achieve a final moisture content suitable for fine woodworking.
