Serve your pasta in this nicely sized pasta bowl & see how it will taste even better than usual. This is the perfect size for a single serving when pasta is the main course, or put a little less in it & use it for a first course. This could also be used for stews, chili, cream soups or anything with a rich gravy. Also would be a nice bowl to serve a large salad in, or use as a small serving dish for vegetables or other sides. Handmade by Terese, with a high gloss glaze called Blue Rutile over St. John's Black. As it settles into the bowls, the blue & brown components of the glaze hit the sides & rims of the bowl differently. How it is placed in the kiln also makes a difference, so no two bowls ever come out alike. Check the video & all the photos to see the variations one gets in the color distribution. It's a surprise each time. This bowl is made on a dark 901 clay base & signed TT on the base. A great addition for anyone who wants to add to her usable pottery collection. This pasta bowl is 8 1/2 to 8 3/4 in diameter & 1 1/4 deep. It stands 1.5 high & weighs just about 1 1/2 lbs. Dishwasher safe, microwave safe, & food safe. However, as with all ceramics, the potter recommends hand washing & no microwave, for longer life. A hot bowl pot holder is recommended when a ceramic piece is used in a microwave. Never place ceramics on a hot stove, for they will break.
