This free standing fused glass curve would look great displayed in any room of your home. This is an ideal birthday, wedding or surprise gift for a loved one. The curved paned features red abstract flowers made up of frit (that's broken bits of glass in fusing talk) & delicate white daisies that have been painted on with enamels & fused to the glass as part of the composition. This curve measures 24.5cm wide by 10cm high. Please be aware that item details may differ slightly in cases where I have made more than one unit of a particular design but every effort is made to keep the designs as similar to each other as possible. Pop over to hopebestdesign.etsy.com to see what else is available All my pieces are hand made in my home studio. I take most of my inspiration from nature & my surroundings. I'm a great lover of colour so most of my designs will incorporate bright vibrant colours which are aimed to draw you into the designs. To make this tea light holder I've hand cut shapes of white glass & transparent greens for the foliage. This has been finished off with bits of greet frit & little white blobs of glass & then fired it in my kiln at about 740 degrees celcius & fired in my one of my kilns, aptly name Mork & Mindy. Items are fired to different temperatures to achieve different looks & outcomes to give the pieces the best finish & look that will make them stand out. As part of the firing process, all items will go through an annealing phase, which is the process of cooling down from the top fusing temperature. This process in effect tempers the glass, making it much stronger & more durable however this is glass we are talking about & still does need to be treated with care to prevent breakages. I try to make every effort to accurately represent the colours of the piece when photographing the items however it is possible that different monitors may display the colours differently.
