Stunning set of 9 Faience de St Amand fish plates. Brown earthenware midcentury stylised, with three different motifs, the illustration is not handpainted but within the glazing & earthenware. Fish, eel & ray. The plates each measure 25cms (9¾") diameter & weigh 600gms/1.3lbs. The set weighs just over 5 kilos. They have the 'Faience de St. Amand, France' mark on the undersides. Sought after series, very hard to find 9 pieces together. Each plate can be also used as serving dish. Great condition, some faint marks & imperfections within the glazing.
