This 9 inch tall 5 inch wide vase is hand blown & mouth blown glass, of rich cobalt blue made iridescent in gold & silver with multicolor accent. The color & shine both conspire to motion in the light, achieving a multidimensional effect in person that changes as the light changes. The vase is signed by the glass artist. Featuring genuine ancient Egyptian hieroglyph writing & Pyramid carving scenes from ancient Egypt, hand-sandblasted onto the vase. Handmade in Vermont (circa 1979). One of one. We offer a selection of exquisite glass goblets, vases, ornaments, lamps, & are all individual & unique. Several pieces maybe in certain specific color ways, however being hand blown & mouth blown glass, there is variety in expression & subtle differences between all pieces. All of these glass pieces are unique & imperfect by design. The glass work is meticulously designed to embody the light & is remarkable in its color saturation brilliance & clarity, sense of frozen motion & simplicity. Earlier works date from 1972 to 1978. Later works date from the 1980's into the 1990's. All were made in Vermont (USA). FROZEN MOTION Glass is a perfect art medium; it has infinite creative potential as a three dimensional fluid in motion, frozen into place at will. This, coupled with deliberate control of light through transmission, reflection & refraction as well as color & texture, allows these pieces to express unique design through a full spectrum, from graceful, functional entities to unique & beautiful art creations.
