This listing is for one tankard. Large, handmade, wood fired tankard. Made from rich, dark stoneware clay. Completely unglazed except for, fly ash & a light spray of white slip to contrast the clay body. The tankards are completely vitrified during the firing process making the clay body watertight. The tankards have a carved pattern around the exterior. These pieces were fired in my wood fire kiln at temperatures surpassing 2300o F, for 40+ hours. The high temperature & sustained firing time results in a natural ash glaze on the tankard which is great for daily use. Woodfired pieces are truly unique & have a story to tell. Rugged & dependable. Dimensions Approx. 5.5 H x 3.5 W. 20+ oz. These tankards are similar but vary slightly due to being handmade & the wood firing process. Microwave / Dishwasher safe.
