This is a deeply textured planter, in an elegant conical shape, perfect for accompanying medium - large plants such as mostrea, alocasia, ficus, yucca etc. The planter is thrown by hand on a pottery wheel, using a natural pale clay which gives its the creamy earthy base colour.The glaze is thick & tactile. It has a black base with brown tones & it is applied throughout the interior & exterior of the planter. It is inspired from geological rock formations & the swirls of its application inside & out are very much remeniscent of these. Although the glaze is matt the surface of the planter is treated to be water resistant, which makes it perfect for indoor use. All items are made & finished by hand so there may be minor variations in size & tone of glaze.
