Wheel Thrown Hand Painted Porcelain Vase by Jason Fox 7 x 4 3/4 A vase from my Red Series. Minimalist & clean painted in nice rich red with a touch of bright blue inside the lip. Can be used as a centerpiece, a collection or functionally as a vase. Handmade so each piece is unique & the glazes I use are safe for everyday use. I begin by throwing the vessel on the wheel then trim it when it is leather hard to further refine the shape & thin the piece out if necessary. It is then bisque fired & after cooling I paint each color with 3 coats to ensure a rich even color. I then pour a clear glaze on the inside of the pot & once again fire it in the kiln to over 2000 degrees. After cooling I sand the bottom to ensure a nice smooth foot so you don't scratch your beautiful furniture! I hope you enjoy it.
