The White Juju Hat with Grey Flecks is a beautiful handmade feather wall hanging from Cameroon. These items create color & texture in your interior & are a real talking point . The Juju Hat Wall Decor are made with cured feathers which are then dyed more than once to achieve the vibrant colors or in this case White. The base of the wall hanging is woven using a rattan, grass material & then the feathers are tied in with cord. The hats take about 2-4 hours to make by skilled crafts people in a rural village about 4 hours from the Cameroonian capital Douma. Once made for high priests & chiefs the Juju or Bamileke hat now adorn walls as a contemporary interior accessory in homes, hotels, bars & offices around the world. The Juju Hats lie slightly away from the wall, approximately 15-20cm which gives them more body & fullness of the feathers. They are easily hung up on a nail or hook in the wall. There is a string loop at the back of the Juju hat for easy hanging. These Juju Hats hats are beautiful, contemporary wall hangings & the white hats are probably the most popular.
