Handwoven cushion cover with a subtle texture resulting from linear units of in woven black thread ending in tufts on either side. These units are repeated rhythmically & arranged in a symmetrical well balanced manner. The light accentuates the texture of the design depending on which angle it falls on the cushion cover. The design signifies signals of communication. The linear parts resemble simplified, minimal, signals that are transmitted as efforts for communication. These could be acoustic or visual. The cushion cover is based on a series of ceramic pieces I made, that consisted of flat squares with repeated textured patterns.
