This necklace has an old farthing coin captured under resin in an antique silver plated pendant that has a pretty flower border. The old farthing coins are quite cute as they feature a wren bird, commonly called Jenny Wren. The date on the coin is 1941. I made it by first cleaning & polishing the old coin. I then cut some teal colour wrapping paper to size, set it into the cup of the pendant bezel & then sealed it with a coat of clear resin. The pendant is measures 3.5cm x 3.5cm (excluding the pendant bail). The antique silver finish has an aged or vintage appearance - it is not a bright shiny silver colour. All the old coins I use have been in circulation & many show the wear & tear of use - some are quite badly stained & tarnished. I spend lots of time cleaning & polishing the coins before using them in my jewellery but please be aware that they are not in pristine, as new, condition. CHAIN - It is available with or without a chain necklace. With an antique silver plated chain necklace - I have a selection of different length silver plated chains so please choose the one you prefer from the options available. This pendant is also available without a chain necklace. Use a chain you already own or hang it on a length of ribbon.
