These small ceramic cups are handmade in my garden studio in Sussex, England. This pattern is called 'Rye', it is hand painted with a grey pigment onto a white glaze. The speckles come from little flecks of iron within the body of the clay. When the piece fired it creates a lovely effect on the surface of the piece. PLEASE NOTE this clay can have quite have a rough rustic surface, which is one of the reasons I like it but if you want a smooth surface to your mug then this might not be the mug for you. Things to know: Size (Approximate) Height 7.5 cm, Diameter at top 10cm. This range is made from iron rich stoneware clay. All my pottery is food-safe, hard-wearing & suitable for microwaves & dishwashers. Each piece is handmade on a pottery wheel & then hand-painted so there may be slight variation in size & colour & there may be very minor imperfections. I make my pottery in small batches so you will not necessarily receive the exact item pictured. PACKAGING & SHIPPING My products are wrapped in brown paper & then gift-wrapped in smart black tissue paper with fancy tape, they are then packed into very sturdy boxes to ensure they arrive in one piece!
