Vintage K S Pewter Tea Pot Plymouth USA Ball Wicker Wrapped Handle Lidded Creamer Pitcher circa 1920's Metalware Shabby Chic Sometimes a mystery box can bring rare treasures! One such box was full of wonderful antique pewter! Available today is this lovely pitcher; this Tea Pot - Creamer dates to around 1920's. The Tea Pot is 6 1/2 tall, it has a 2-1/4 base diameter & at the widest part is 2-3/8 at the top (not including the spout). The top lid has a hole & when aligned allows the liquid to flow freely, in excellent condition. The Tea Pot holds 24 ounces or 3 cups. The Tea Pot is marked on the bottom with Plymouth K S Pewter Made in USA 83812. Pewter is one of the most alluring realms among American antiques because it is so intimately bound up with the everyday life of our forefathers. in the first place it was what you might call a finely democratic article. It was made for people who could not afford much silver or who did not want to use their silver all the time. It happened not to be as elegant as silver in color or texture but it had about it an air of distinction & a certain substantial solidity that reflected the comfortable character of the people who used it in their homes. For being just 80 + years old the creamer - pitcher is in excellent vintage / antique condition. This Tea Pot has a wicker wrapped handle & is in excellent condition with only light wear marks, a small flat spot on the center ring & a couple of small ding marks. I am offering this teapot - creamer - pitcher as I found it. Whether for the new collector or the connoisseur, this rare Tea Pot will be an amazing addition to any antique pewter or Early Americana Memorabilia collection!!
