A set of Aizu coating coasters in the original box from Japan. These six coasters/mini plates each beautifully hand-painted & coated are from Aizu in Japan. The plates can be used as a coaster, mini plates serving sweets or for trinkets. They are unused condition still in the original box with a small memo of usage ideas written in Japanese. Aizu coating is a traditional Japanese craft. It is characterized by its glossy black lacquer & the decorations drawn on it. An ideal present for those who like Japanese traditional art. (Measurement) The outer case: height 5.5 cm x diameter 9 cm Each plates: Diameter 8 cm Material: Melamine (?) or plastic (?) & resin Circa: 1970's - 80's Care instruction: Do not wash in water. No detergent should be used. Dry wiping with a soft cloth is always recommended. Made in Japan Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No significant flaws.
