This is a fantastic Mid century alpha plate Tea Service, from the renowned metal workers Viners of Sheffield. Viners of Sheffield started manufacting silver & metal in the early 1900s & continued through the worldwide boom of stainless steel in the 60s until the company went bankrupt in the 1980s. This set would have been one of the more luxurious lines in the 1950s. The set includes a teapot, hot water / coffee pot, creamer & sugar bowl. The Set is Alpha/Silver Plate with an art deco style bakelite handles & finial topped lids. This Set is in great vintage condition & should be used again for summer afternoon teas, a perfect addition to your summer garden party. It could also well be used as a shop/theatre/film prop. The Teapot measures 6 inches tall, the Hot Water / Coffee Pot measures 7 inches tall the Creamer measures 2.5 inches & the sugar bowl measures 2.5 inches tall. Vintage Viners Alpha Plate Tea Set.
