British Polar Explorers Vintage First Day Cover Royal Mail This UK original British Polar Explorers First Day Cover Vintage Envelope & Stamps is mounted & framed - issued on 16th February 1972 celebrating the Great British Polar Explorers & their achievements. The explorers James Clark-Ross, Henry Hudson, Robert Falcon Scott & Martin Frobisher are all depicted in their own stamp. It would make a great present for anyone born in 1972 to mark their birthday, especially if it was the same day too! This is not a print, it is the original First Day Cover (which has been in a protective plastic envelope since that day) just as it was bought all those years ago. It has been ready mounted in a white mount & is framed in a black wood frame which we feel best suits the image. It is gorgeous & would look great in any home in a variety of different room spaces. (Please note that the video shown here shows the black frame & an indication of what this piece would look like on a wall but is not the piece advertised in this listing).
