A handsome antique French carved oak, crested, overmantle mirror of good proportions. The solid oak frame is heavily carved with a fretwork of fluidly carved scrolling acanthus leaves, surmounted with a crest of two stylised lions. C1880 CONDITION: in good vintage condition & with its original bevelled mirror plate which has some delicate old foxing & a couple of old marks. It has a fabulous patina. The frame is in good vintage condition with minor small losses to the frame. It is missing its backboards, it has a solid hanging loop on the reverse.
