1960s January Garden Poster, R B Davis, flora fauna, nature plants, squirrels bird feeder Frederick Warne & Co, botanical wall art decor This is a vintage poster from Frederick Warne & Co botanical poster of a December nature scene with a winter garden snow scene with birds gathered around a bird feeder table with a squirreland snow covered trees. Dimensions: 30 in x 20 in (76cm x 51 cm) Printed by: Lowe & Brydon, Thetford, Norfolk Published by: Frederick Warne & Co, London Reginald Ben Davis illustrated wildlife features posters published by F. Warne, from the late 1960s until the late 1980s. He also contributed many painted pages to Look & Learn & Treasure magazines. Davis also drew comic strips & cover illustrations for girls' comics. Because of the age of these posters, & their use in the classroom, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years in the classroom are part of the vintage charm. These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
