Description
1970s Alaska Travel Poster, Inuit Doll on Inuit rug, Western Airlines, travel tourism, winter sports holiday, vacation, wall art decor 1970s A travel poster from Western Airlines from the 1970s showing life around Alaska in the Arctic with particular emphasis on the native Inuit people & their way of life, including art, nature culture, travel & fishing. Western Airlines was a major airline based in California, operating in the western United States including Alaska & Hawaii, & western Canada, as well as to New York City, Boston, Washington, D.C., & Miami & to Mexico, London & Nassau. Western had hubs at Los Angeles International Airport, Salt Lake City International Airport, & the former Stapleton International Airport in Denver. Before it merged with Delta Air Lines in 1987 it was headquartered at Los Angeles International Airport (LAx). Throughout the company's history, their slogan was Western Airlines...The Only Way to Fly! Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. When framed these colourful & detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time. These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection. See the FAQ for more information on shipping, tracking & insurance options. 1970S Alaska Travel Poster, Inuit Doll On Rug, Western Airlines, Travel Tourism, Winter Sports Holiday, Vacation, Wall Art Decor
