1975 Friedrich Meckseper Poster, Still life of etching materials in time, Galerie Dierks, expressionist, gallery exhibition wall art decor This original Friedrich Meckseper exhibition poster is from the Galerie Dierks in Aarhus, Denmark for the 1975 exhibition featuring a still life of materials used for etching. Dimensions: 30 in x 22 in (76 cm x 56 cm) Condition: some foxing, see photos. Friedrich Meckseper was born in June 8, 1936 in Bremen, German. He was a German painter, designer, drawer, & draftsman. He first studied mechanical engineering, but later turned to art, training in Berlin. His work often features objects concerned with time-keeping in a magical, almost sinister way, usually in an equally mysterious interior or landscape setting. What is special about exhibition & gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm. These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
