Description
This original Erte exhibition poster is from the Proscenium in Paris for a 1982 exhibition featuring Symphony in White from 1924 at the height of art deco. Sevenarts Ltd, 1982, Printed in France. Dimensions: 28 in x 20 in (71 cm x 51 cm) Condition: some light marks, see photos. Erte was an artist & designer in an array of fields including fashion, jewellery, graphic arts, costume & set design for film, theatre, opera & interior decor. Between 1915 & 1937 he designed over 200 covers for Harpers Bazaar & his illustrations appeared in Cosmopolitan & Vogue. What is special about exhibition & gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm. These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection. See the FAQ for more information on shipping, tracking & insurance options. 1982 After Erte Poster, Symphony in White, Proscenium, Art Deco, Black & Paris Gallery Exhibition Wall Art Decor
