Description
This Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition poster is from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for a 1989 exhibition featuring An Orchid from 1941. Dimensions: 34 in x 24 in (87 cm x 61 cm) Georgia O'Keeffe was an American modernist painter & draftswoman whose career spanned seven decades & whose work remained largely independent of major art movements. Called the Mother of American modernism, O'Keeffe gained international recognition for her meticulous paintings of natural forms, particularly flowers & desert-inspired landscapes, which were often drawn from & related to places & environments in which she lived. What is special about exhibition & gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm. These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection. See the FAQ for more information on shipping, tracking & insurance options. 1989 Georgia O'keeffe Poster, An Orchid 1941, American Modernism, Precisionism, Gallery Exhibition Wall Art Decor
