Christmas Nativity Poster, Peace, Jesus Mary & Joseph, Knights of Columba, Province 21, Burnley East Lancashire & Glasgow This is a Christmas poster from the Knights of Columba proclaiming peace & joy & a beautiful scene of the Nativity. Dimensions: 14.2 in x 10.2 in (36 cm x 26 cm) The Knights of St Columba is a Catholic fraternal service society. Founded in Glasgow in 1919, it is named in honour of Saint Columba, a Christian missionary from Ireland who helped to introduce Christianity to some of the people in the north of Britain. The organisation describes itself as being dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity & Fraternity. There are more than 4,300 members of the KSC, in over 240 councils across Great Britain it features in England, Scotland & Wales. Membership is limited to Catholic men aged 16 & over, & promotes the social doctrine of the Catholic Church. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear & tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, & edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. This poster is sent as unframed.
