Fruit season in Quebec, the fruit season is rather short. Every summer, I try to enjoy it by going to the market, tasting each crop, canning & freezing some for the long winter months. On this poster I have illustrated about twenty fruits, some wild, some cultivated, which are available between June & October here in Qubec. Many of them are rare, wild & available only in some parts of our province (depending on the hardiness zones). Many of us have never eaten many of these species & it is partly to highlight the diversity of locally available fruits that I created this poster. I identified the period during which each fruit is available with small colored dots. Obviously, it varies from region to region & from year to year depending on weather conditions.
