Hand sewn cushion cover made from a piece of Morris & Co. stunning cotton velvet The Brook , the detail is amazing, backed in either natural beige linen or Designer Guild's navy blue cotton velvet. Please use the drop down menu to make your choice For Morris, tapestry was the highest form of decorative art. Inspired in part by J. H. Dearles The Brook Tapestry, & the friezes that sit beneath the Holy Grail Tapestries, The Brook has been newly created by Alison Gee. Digital printing recreates all the crispness & abundance of beautiful detail, which was the special characteristic of medieval tapestries. ( quote from Morris & Co. website ) It has been piped in a matching light blue cotton & all the seams have been double sewn & four stitched overlocked for strength. The cushion has concealed zip under the piping on the reverse for ease of opening. Measures approximately 18 inches ( 45 cms. ) square. Due to the large scale motifs in this design every cover will have a slightly different placement. DRY CLEAN ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT IRON OR PRESS THE VELVET.
