An authentic, original, G Plan table which would have been the largest of a set of three - a beautiful & elegant design from the British E Gomme furniture manufacturer, this sleek, modern design offered by G Plan was what people aspired to by the end of the 1950s. The quality of this Mid Century antique has allowed it to survive & now to thrive in the modern home. The table top is veneered & finished with solid teak edging a solid teak base with two stylishly fashioned extended feet connected by a curved stretcher. Solid & sturdy, the table shows only minimal wear & tear; it has been cleaned & degreased & a teak oil applied to reveal the beautiful grain, offering protection & giving nourishment to the wood. The photos show a good likeness of condition & depth of the teak colouring on each table - no camera tricks - & showing only general wear & tear as to be expected from age & usage of the table. Escaping landfill & as an alternative to new furniture, these are an exciting, affordable, stylish occasional table that meet the high standards & expectations of the modern collector.
