Hand made in-house, this BambooTiki mug is glazed in a natural looking yellow glaze with brown inside an icon of Tiki Pop Culture this bamboo Tiki mug was designed back in 2001 one of our original Tiki mug designs. Using a method called slip casting we hand-pour the moulds to create a piece that is known as greenware (unfired), we then use fettling tools to remove the seams from each piece before the first firing in the kilns to produce bisque, a piece that we can then glaze before their final firing in the kilns up to 1000 degrees. The firing of each piece up to this temperature is what enables them to be dishwasher safe & safe for both hot & cold beverages. Product Details: Dishwasher safe.
