Description
This unusual ceramic vase was made in Europe & is in very good condition. It was hand painted & has decorative openings ( reticulated ) all around the top half of the vase. It is 8 3/4 high & 7 across to the edge of the handle. The vase might have been made in Portugal, Spain, Italy or Greece. It is not practical to use this as a pitcher due to the reticulated design. It would make a great vase even though it looks like a pitcher. This seems to be related to an antique puzzle jug which was popular in the 18th & 19th centuries in Europe. The person drinking would be challenged to drink from the jug without spilling any liquids. There were sometimes hidden spouts & the handle was often hollow.
