Description
Put some Eastern promise into your cocktail making with this stunning glass fronted cocktail cabinet On the beautiful Beach Road of Singapore city, often dwarfed by more modern, much taller buildings, sits the world-famous Raffles Hotel. Within the hotel is the legendary Long Bar. A resplendent room, filled with dark woods, dazzling mirrors, glittering crystal, soft Gentleman's Club lighting, & bottles as far as the eye can see. The mirrors, glass, & wood of the Long Bar at Raffles are echoed throughout this beautiful glass-fronted cocktail cabinet. It's a really eye-catching piece & a definite must-have for a cocktail connoisseur looking for a stylish & elegant storage solution for their drinks collection. Standing on Queen Anne legs, this 1920s cabinet is just perfect for drinks preparation, whether a simple Gin & Tonic or the more challenging Singapore Sling. Since its opening, Raffles Hotel has become, & remains, synonymous with luxury, elegance, sophistication, & Colonial style. It's the birthplace of one of the most iconic cocktails ever invented; the Singapore Sling & a rather apt name for this cabinet. There is even a story of dinner guests finding a Bengal Tiger under the billiard table in the bar. Singapore Sling The Singapore Sling was created in 1915. Primarily a gin-based drink, it was deliberately created with a rosy colour to imitate a fruit juice, perhaps to save the reputation & modesty of ladies who, according to the etiquette of the day, were unable to drink alcohol in public. Why not try making one yourself - recipe in the photos. More reason, if needed, to have a beautifully stylish (and, of course, well-stocked) cabinet at home.... Just check there isn't a Bengal tiger under it! Glass fronted Cocktail Cabinet Features - Glass bow fronted cabinet - perfect for curating & showing off your drinks collection - Ample storage suitable for large drinks collections - Can be 'designed to order' to your specification Designed to order What I love most about my work is giving vintage pieces of furniture a new lease of life in the Art Deco style. The Singapore Sling is also available as a commission, or put more simply, designed to order. Working together, but guided by you & your specifications, we will transform this gorgeous cabinet into an eye-catching piece that matches you, your style, & your design theme, perfectly.
