This large ceramic mug features a photographed flat-lay design of my my Cape Cod map art which came to life with 103 carefully placed heart-shaped rocks from my collection of three decades exploring Maine's beaches, islands, & coastal trails. For years, the pounding surf along the Maine coast has shaped each rock into these beautiful heart forms - each its own work of art. My original flat-lay design was about 2-1/2 feet wide when I climbed a ladder & photographed it outdoors beneath diffused sunlight. The effect of this light brings out the natural beauty in each heart rock & adds a three-dimensional, realistic character to the art in print.
