Description
Vintage silver plated circular chamberstick with a ribbed/gadrooned border, thumb hole, & detachable cone-shaped candle snuffer. It is unmarked but it may date to the early-mid 19th century. Both the snuffer & the base bears the clan crest & motto of the Scottish clan Melville - a crescent & the motto 'Denique coelum'. It has a candle snuffer & a small side mounted thumb hole handle for carrying the item. It is in good condition overall. The snuffer is a little bashed around & tarnished, something which adds to its overall character. The base also has some dents, particular to the border, & wearing of the silver plate on the underside. Size: -14.5cm wide from handle to other edge -13cm diameter base -8.5cm high from base to top of holder -2.5cm gap for candle Gift wrap -We wrap all items in complementary brown paper & string. I can also supply a complementary gift tag (see personalisation option). I can leave this blank for you to complete, or I can write in a gift inscription. All gift tags are 5 x 10 cm / 2 x 3.94 inch kraft paper tags to match the complementary wrapping paper. Packing -All items are simply wrapped in brown paper & string (because these are a few of my favourite things). The items are then carefully covered with several layers of bubble wrap before being placed in lined & padded cardboard boxes. -I try to source my packing materials as sustainably as possible. I reuse boxes, packing nuts & bubble wrap whenever I can. Any packing materials that I source outside this (such as bubble wrap or boxes) are biodegradable or recyclable. Postage -UK: Shipping is free to addresses within the UK. I use Royal Mail's 'Second Class Signed For' service for most items sent within the UK. These should arrive in a few days but do get in touch if you would like quicker shipping. Orders too large for this will be sent by another delivery agency, such as Parcelforce 48 hour. -EU/International: For orders outside the UK, I use Royal Mail's 'International Tracked & Signed' which gives you peace of mind & allows you to track your item.
