Description
This is a decorative coat rack wall hanging, made from Devon driftwood. I collect the driftwood from the beaches of Sidmouth, Devon where I live. I then wash it, & let it dry naturally. This is an attractive dark piece of wood, & heavy, weighing in at just over 2 pounds ( 1.2kg). I have given it a few coats of varnish to protect it, & bring out it's natural colour. The driftwood has three antique-look, metal double coat-hooks fitted, & two smaller hooks for keys etc. This could also be used as a scarf or towel rack. It is strung from the back with jute cord. Each item I make is unique, & you will receive the piece that is pictured. This is a larger sized work of mine, measuring 58cm ( 23 in.) long.
