Vintage Antique RSP Germany Porcelain Footed Teapot Creamer & Sugar Bowl Set 5 PCS Set-Collectible - Rare This lovely white porcelain hand painted set has been crafted with a soft pink rose on the front & back, hexagon shape, six's panels & elaborate details. Lovel teapot with lid, sugar bowl with lid & creamer (5 pcs Set) Embossed with raised dotted design on all six panels with gold trim soft blend mint green & light brown shade with scalloped trim design. Good vintage condition, some flea bites, & due to the age, some ware on the bottom. Marking on the bottom in red & black Measure: Teapot with lid: 5 1/2 tall x 8 wide pour to handle Sugar bowl with lid : 4 1 /2 x 6 1/2wide handle to handle Creamer: 3 3/4 tall x 5 1/4 Reinhold Schlegelmilch produced what collectors consider to be R.S. Prussia (RSP for short) in his factory in Suhl, Germany, from the late 1800s through World War I. Following the war, the factory moved to Tillowitz, Germany, & after World War II the factory once again shifted venue, this time to Poland. Between the wars, the company manufactured pieces in a factory in Tillowitz, Germany, so the marks from this era reflected that change. After World War II, porcelain bearing the word Poland signified yet another change in venue for the R.S. Prussia factory. Some pieces featured imitation opals, gold embellishments, or iridescent finishes. Most were decorated with paintings of flowers or formal portraits, which were applied to the porcelain clay body via lithographic transfers.
