Description
This beautiful mid-century modern style glass pitcher, creamer, & sugar set (with teak lid but no spoon) is delicate, lovely, & sleek. The pitcher, with its graceful spout & handle, holds 20 fluid ounces filled to just shy of spilling. The creamer also has a lovely handle that curves up & back & almost, but does not, touch the bowl, which is a nice detail easy to miss. The sugar does not come with a spoon (not sure what material the original would have been made of) & the teak lid has a light abrasion on one side with a very slight straightened section that seems original to the piece as the varnish covers right to the edge even there. The pitcher is 7-3/4 tall, 2-3/4 deep, & 5-1/2 wide (spout tip to outer edge of handle), & weighs 12.2 ounces. The creamer is 2-1/2 tall, 2-3/4 deep, & 3-3/4 wide (spout tip to outer edge of handle), & weighs 4 ounces. The sugar with lid is 2-1/4 tall (not including lid & handle), 3 deep, & 3 wide, & weighs 6 ounces. This set spent the past handful of years in our cocktail cabinet, sadly lost amidst everything else around it, so I offer it up to a new owner who can give it the breathing/elbow room it deserves! If you watched the video to the end, you may justifiably ask what are the eyeballs & are they included? The answer is no, they are just included as a nice surprise in the video but they stay here at MichiganPalimpsest headquarters as they were designed by the great master puppeteer Hobey Ford, which he called Peepers Puppets (they proved so popular that they put his kids through college & sadly became copycatted by overseas companies). Look up the instructional videos online, which are amazing! Vintage Mid-Century Modern Glass Pitcher Creamer & Sugar Set With Teak Lid | 1970S
