A striking tile by British designers Jean & Rhys Powell. This 1968 Cristal tile is decorated with what I believe is an open fire with glowing red coals. It is one of six tiles from their no. 1 Kitchen set. The tiles were marketed under the Wade name for H&R Johnson, & later under their own name as Powell International. Jean Powell is also renowned for her large scale mosaics, & has undertaken commissions all over the world. Dimensions approx: 11cms x 11cms Weight: 80gms Condition: Very good.
