This is an original hand crafted high back American Rocking Chair. Known as a Boston Rocker, it has a classically deep scrolled seat, high spindled back, spool turnings & rolling crest & head piece. Made in pine, it retains its original crusty black painted surface & gilt tracery decoration - which is in notably good condition on the crest rail. Excellent original condition throughout.
