A3 colour poster illustrating sowing, planting & harvesting times of a wide range of leafy greens that can be grown at home or in your allotment. With protection - either a cloche, fleece, polytunnel etc. you can keep growing salad over the winter to give you a year round supply. Winter salads are usually comprised of 'oriental greens', endives, chicory & specialist winter lettuces, whilst as the weather improves, a variety of outdoor lettuces & herbs can be added into your mix. Timings are based on those I use in the market garden I work in, here in rural mid Wales - those of you living in the south of Britain may find you can use slightly earlier sowing times, & slightly later harvesting times.
