A large ceramic vase by Shaw & Copestake, beautifully glazed in green with gold decoration. The vase sits on four feet & has a scrolled handle to each side. The decoration features foliage with a bird in flight on one side; the other side is simpler in design with just a small amount of foliage. The interior is glazed in white. Height: 30.5cm (12). Width: 19cm (7). Base dimensions: 15cm x 13.75cm (6 x 5). Weight: 985g (2lbs 2oz). A striking decorative piece produced by Shaw & Copestake in their Staffordshire pottery between 1925 & 1937. in lovely vintage condition with some wear to the gold. Marked with the 'daisy' mark on the base, along with the stamped number '375'.
